Lit Fest Advanced Workshops 2026: Late Openings/Waitlists
Ends on
Lit Fest Advanced Workshop applications had a priority deadline of 3/9 at midnight. This application is for writers who wish to be considered for openings or waitlists.
As with every year, the spots for advanced workshops are first offered to writers who make the priority deadline, but sometimes writers aren't able to accept their spots or things change once they're enrolled. This is the queue for those openings.
Our instructors for this year include:
- Fiction writers Steve Almond, Dean Bakopoulos, Melissa Broder, Christopher Castellani, Danielle Evans, Mat Johnson*, Megha Majumdar, Rebecca Makkai*, and Brandon Taylor*.
- Nonfiction writers Emily Rapp Black, Heather Christle, Ingrid Rojas Contreras, Andre Dubus III*, Beth Nguyen, Rachel Louise Snyder, and Eileen Myles (also poetry)
- Poets Layli Long Soldier*, Paul Muldoon,* and Eileen Myles (also nonfiction)
*No spots likely to open, though they could with last-minute dropouts. We highly recommend being open to all of these amazing instructors. If spots remain available, we'll accept qualified applicants on a rolling basis, first-come, first-served, beginning in early-to-mid-April.
The fellowship deadline was 3/9, so it's too late to apply for Emerging Writers, Veterans, or LARRK (for writers with disabilities) fellowships. As always, our reading fees cover the time spent by our review teams. We've distributed all waivers at this time.
